High Voltage

High Voltage is responsible for the operation and maintenance of medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment above 600V. This includes the main campus electrical 66kV substation, transformers, switches, and other major electrical equipment throughout the campus. Other services include:

• Emergency generator/automatic transfer switch monthly testing
• Testing, operating, and maintaining medium and high voltage electrical systems, including:
  • Distribution and underground power lines, cables, insulators, lightning arresters, and ground connects
  • Electrical recording instruments and meters
  • Emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and inverters
  • Substations, transformers, and capacitor equipment
  • Switches, circuit breakers, and fuses
