High Voltage
High Voltage is responsible for the operation and maintenance of medium- and high-voltage electrical equipment above 600V. This includes the main campus electrical 66kV substation, transformers, switches, and other major electrical equipment throughout the campus. Other services include:
- Emergency generator/automatic transfer switch monthly testing
- Testing, operating, and maintaining medium and high voltage electrical systems, including:
- Distribution and underground power lines, cables, insulators, lightning arresters, and ground connects
- Electrical recording instruments and meters
- Emergency generators, automatic transfer switches, and inverters
- Substations, transformers, and capacitor equipment
- Switches, circuit breakers, and fuses
